Your virtual CFO was created in 2010 by Victoria Berry and Daren Cardow from HBA Encompass. This experienced team has over 40 years of public and commercial accounting experience.

Victoria has been an accountant since 2004. She is currently a director of  HBA Encompass and prior to that was a director of HBA Accounting.  With over 20 years of experience in public accounting, she has assisted businesses in most industries and prizes herself on having a down-to-earth manner with which to explain business terms to ‘non-accountants’. Victoria loves small business so much she has recently published a book called Zest for Success to help start up businesses.

Daren is one of the directors of HBA Encompass, prior to that he was the  managing director of Encompass Tax and Accounting .  Daren’s experiences are broadly based and extensive in relation to small to medium  sized business accounting and taxation  consultancy. Daren has the reputation of providing high quality personalised service and is known for his ability to communicate often complex accounting and taxation issues in a manner which is easily understood without compromising his professionalism.

We know that many small businesses visit their accountant every year to complete their compliance obligations (GST and Tax Return Preparation). Most people don’t ask for business advice or an assessment of their business performance so most Accountant’s don’t provide them.  We believe that everyone is entitled to advice on a regular basis and in a cost effective manner.
